Flashzilla V3 by Tunezilla

Description

This is the newest version of the Flashzilla that will work for almost every TDI on the market.  

Special Notes

• Each Flashzilla can be used on just 1 car but it can hold multiple tunes allowing you to swap tunes back and forth as you please
• Flashzillas can be used for ECU tuning only.  They cannot be used to tune a DSG.

2009-2010 3.0L TDIs are the only cars that cannot be OBD tuned at this time.  

Rental tools are also available for obd tuning and DSG tuning.

Instructions for Use

On your Windows computer, download the FlashZilla 3 software here and install it (version 1.14 released September 12, 2014).

• Connect the FlashZilla 3 device to your computer using the provided USB cable (any A to mini-B USB cable will work).
• Start the FlashZilla 3 software on your computer and it should automatically detect the device, as well as update it (it may take 5 minutes). 
• Disconnect the device from your computer, then connect it to your vehicle using the supplied OBD2 cable. The OBD2 port is usually located under the dashboard, just to the left of the steering wheel.
• Tap the “Tuning” icon (the first icon) in the FlashZilla 3’s screen. Follow the prompts to read your car’s original file.Once reading is complete, take the device back to your computer and in FlashZilla software click “Download data”. E-mail us this file.
  • If you have a 2009-2014 Golf, Jetta, Beetle, or A3 TDI, then choose engine code CFFB (under Golf VI). This still applies if you have CBEA or CJAA engien codes.
  • If you have a 2012-2012 Passat TDI, then choose engine code CKRA (under Passat VII).
  • If you have a 2015+ Golf, Jetta, or Passat TDI, then choose engine code CRVA (under Golf VII).
• If you see “Calibration file not found” message while trying to read the ECU in your vehicle, then you will also see numbers that looks like this: 03L906019HH_8180. It simply means that a stock file matching your ECU is not in the online database yet. Please e-mail us all the numbers you see and let us know that you saw this error. If we have the stock software, then we will upload the stock file to the online database (this may take up to 24 hours during business days).After you receive a tune file from us, load it onto your FlashZilla via the FlashZilla software on your computer. 
  • Once we confirm that this is update, you will need to connect the device to your computer and start the FlashZilla software again. It will automatically update online. Then you can try reading your car again.
• A battery charger is recommended to stabilize your car’s power during the ECU write operation.Please contact us if you need assistance. 
  • VW/Audi 2.0L CR TDI fans will run constasntly during the ECU write operation and it increases voltage stability, so a battery charger is highly recommended in this case.
